October 2020 Unemployment Numbers Released

The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) released the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimates of unemployment and employment statistics for Wisconsin metropolitan areas, major cities and counties in Wisconsin for October 2020.

Preliminary October 2020 unemployment rates declined in eight of Wisconsin’s 72 counties over the month.

For the ThriveED region:

Dodge County unemployment rate for October 2020: 3.8 percent, up from 3.6 percent in September.

Jefferson County unemployment rate for October 2020: 4.1 percent, up from 3.8 percent in September.
