September 2020 Unemployment Numbers Released
The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) released the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimates of unemployment and employment statistics for Wisconsin metropolitan areas, major cities and counties in Wisconsin for September 2020.
Preliminary September 2020 unemployment rates declined in all 72 Wisconsin counties over the month, with the largest decrease occurring in Menominee County.

Jefferson County unemployment rate for September 2020: 3.8 percent, down from 5.1 percent in August.
